The Pet Squad first began providing pet sitting services in 2013, in the neighborhood of Castle Hills, located in Lewisville, TX. The owner, a successful business woman in the Dallas area, started the company with her son while he was battling cancer. The intention was to provide him with an education on entrepreneurship, while at the same time, creating a distraction from the pain associated with chemotherapy treatment. It became clear very early on that the business was rewarding for the owner, her son, and their pet clients and as a result, the business expanded to surrounding communities in Lewisville, Carrollton, Plano and beyond.

The Pet Squad is managed by owner, Shelley Laine-Gorton. She employs trained pet care specialists who are equally passionate about animals and providing quality care for each client.
